PRESERVING PAST TRADITIONS
The free-standing building that houses Breadbox dates back to the 1950s. Breadbox structure is completely original in accordance with preserving the traditions of the past and respecting the neighborhood's history.
The innovative facade—featuring 1600 rolling pins—adds aesthetic flare to the block while reflecting the deeper roots BreadBox formed with the community
Each of these rolling pins features the name of the person or organization who has made a donation to The New York Foundling – BreadBox community partner.
With growth comes change - from cafe to restaurant, Breadbox transitioned to include a bar area and updated look and feel.
